In only one year, we have already placed over 200 rescues in their forever homes.
Chocolate Milk AKA Coconut!
From Coconuts pawrents:
"Back in October we rescued a boy dog we named Lucky. At the time we weren’t looking for another dog for our family but he needed us and turns out we needed him. Once we had Lucky, we would constantly look at To The Rescue page and "ohh" and "ahhh" over all the precious dogs. In late November early December “Chocolate Milk’s” picture and bio came up, both my husband and I just thought she looked so adorable. But at this point, we had just rescued our other dog and we’re working through adjusting him with our other animals so it just wasn’t a good time.
Fast forward to the very beginning of February… Chocolate milks picture was posted again, she was still available! How could this little baby still be looking for a home? I immediately messaged my husband and said she was still available, Let’s get her!
Right away, he messaged to the rescue to find out that she was in fact, still ready for her forever home. We made plans to pick her up a couple of days later and give her a try. She came home on a Thursday and by Thursday evening we already knew we would adopt her and she was a new member of our family.
Coconut has brought so much joy to our lives, including our special rescue dog Lucky, who was so broken. She has brought the puppy back out in him as well. Coconut is a much better fitting name than chocolate milk. However, we will never forget seeing her picture as chocolate milk, knowing that she was our new baby!"
